Brief

Before Euro 2016, Soccerway, the leading football site wanted to engage fans with a fantasy team game. They licensed the technology and sought out Hyphen to drive engagement and installs.

Our team had a short lead in time but to ensure success they took a strategic approach. Data collection would be paramount to driving a customer  engagement, acquisition, tracking and conversion programme. A full testing regimen would ensure optimisation of creative across platforms.

Solution

The data regimen ensured that all user interactions, in app event and conversion tracking was quickly established. Effective campaign management would follow from now accurate tracking of customer interactions, engagement and spend. With this analytics framework in place a marketing plan for engagement and acquisition could be developed.

Result

Multiple audience segments were created. They were subjected to a rigorous A/B testing regime and we consulted on production and design of creative assets. A launch on social platforms quickly yielded success allowing the game to continue across the Premier and Champions League seasons. In terms of monetary transactions, teams created and player sales, all metrics were greatly exceeded.
